Center for the Integration of Composites into Infrastructure
CICI - CENTER FOR THE INTEGRATION OF COMPOSITES INTO INFRASTRUCTURE
The Center for the Integration of Composites into Infrastructure is a National Science
Foundation Industry/University Cooperative Research Center, which began operations
in July 2009. The primary objective of the Center is to usher applications of composites
in civil and military infrastructures to the next level through collaborative efforts
between West Virginia University, North Carolina State University, the University
of Miami, Nanjing University of Technology (China) and the University
of Texas at Arlington. The focus areas will synergize different fibers and
polymers to create new application areas, thus expanding market potential.
Mission
The mission of CICI is to accelerate the adoption of polymer composites and innovated construction material into infrastructure and transportation applications through collaborative research
Meetings
Industrial Advisory Board Meetings are held twice a year. Please contact Hota GangaRao for more information on meeting dates.
Membership Agreement and Bylaws
As per NSF requirements, the Center uses the same membership agreement and bylaws for each site.
