Doug Frost is a Senior Vice President of Dewberry Engineers Inc. a Fairfax, Virginia based full services engineering and architecture firm with more than 50 offices nationwide. He is a West Virginia University graduate (BS ’81 MS ’83) in civil engineering with emphasis in geotechnical studies. Frost is a registered professional engineer in WV, VA, MD, PA and NY.

He has acquired extensive technical, managerial, and leadership experience from a variety of engineering design and construction projects. For nearly a decade he served as Dewberry’s Managing Director of a large joint venture partnership providing disaster re-construction engineering and building inspection services for the federal government.

In 2014 Frost was recognized with Dewberry’s prestigious “Project Manager of the Year” award for his leadership efforts assisting New York City disaster victims in their housing recovery following Super Storm Sandy.

In 2015 Frost was appointed by Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe to the GENEDGE Alliance Board of Trustees. GENEDGE manages Virginia’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) as part of a national network of service providers who are dedicated to serving small and medium sized manufacturers. He currently serves as the Chairman of the HR and Compensation Committee.

Since 2017 he has been leading the construction Quality Assurance/Quality Control efforts on the $1.5B Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project extending mass transit train service 11 miles from Reston Virginia through the Dulles Airport to Ashburn.

He is a long-time member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a past member of the Society of American Military Engineers.

Doug and his wife Lynn (BSN WVU ’79) have lived in Philomont Virginia since 1996. They have three grown children- Emily, Adam, and Dan- all graduates of Virginia state colleges. Doug has served as Chairman of the Board for the Philomont Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years.
