Roger Adams graduated from WVU with a BSCE in 1984. He is currently the Acting Director of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Waterways Engineering and Wetlands, which includes programs of Dam Safety, Flood Protection, and Water Obstructions and Encroachments. His career includes 32 years with the Dam Safety Program; overseeing the operation and maintenance of 3,400 dams statewide and he was Chief of the Division of Dam Safety between 2010 and 2017.
He has presented various subjects of dam safety to several agencies, organizations, and educational institutions. He currently served as President-Elect for the Association of State Dam Safety Officials. ASDSO supports the state dam safety programs and provides training, advocacy, and awareness on dam safety matters for the state and federal dam safety programs as well as consulting engineers, dam owners and contractors in the wider dam safety community.
Roger has been married to Crystal for 30 years and they have two sons, Matthew and Jonathan. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and travel and belongs to the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Antique Outboard Motor Club. He also serves on the Board for Christ Reformed Church of Duncannon, PA.
